It&#8217;s a vast field that deserves special attention at every stage of life. For Men&#8217;s Health Awareness Month, we&#8217;ve chosen to highlight a crucial issue: prostate health. This topic concerns a large number of men, particularly from age 50 onwards. Here we focus on an advanced imaging examination: <a href=\"https:\/\/radimed.ca\/en\/services\/magnetic-resonance-imaging-mri\/\">prostate MRI<\/a>, used to support the diagnosis and monitoring of certain conditions.<\/p>\n<h2>Screening and early signs<\/h2>\n<p>Men aged 50 and over \u2014 or from age 45 in the presence of risk factors such as family history \u2014 are generally encouraged to discuss with their healthcare professional the relevance of prostate screening. This may include a digital rectal examination and a <a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.ca\/en\/treatments\/tests-and-procedures\/prostate-specific-antigen-psa-test\">PSA (prostate-specific antigen)<\/a> test. In case of abnormal results, other examinations may be recommended.<\/p>\n<h2>Prostate MRI: a key examination for cancer detection and monitoring<\/h2>\n<p>Prostate MRI is a non-invasive examination that allows observation of the prostate gland with great precision. Performed in a lying position, it generally lasts less than an hour.
